RACE DAY REGISTRATION/PACKET PICK UP: 8:00am in the Sunbury Square

2013 COURSE MAP (course is subject to change): Course Map

THE COURSE:
Begins on the Sunbury Square in front of the Sunbury Administration Building and heads east on E.Granville St. to Rt. 37. From there the course goes south to Arbor Dr., through the Sunbury Gardens and loops to the north end of Sunbury before ending on the Square.

THE GOODIES:
All participants will receive a short-sleeve technical race shirt and finish line refreshments. Awards will be given to the top 5 overall male and female participants.

DIRECTIONS TO THE SUNBURY SQUARE:
From 71 head east on 36/37. Continue heading east on 37 (also known as Cherry St.) to Sunbury United Methodist Church for parking.

OUR MISSION:
The Run For John is being held in John Scanlan's memory to continue his dedication to the Big Walnut community by donating all proceeds to Big Walnut Friends Who Share. This year our team is also focused on promoting awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, which is the leading cause of death in the U.S. Being active, such as running in a 5k, is a great way to decrease the risk of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. We are so thankful to all of you who have helped make the Run for John so successful in the past, and we look forward to seeing you at the finish line!

MISSION AND PURPOSE OF THE BIG WALNUT FRIENDS WHO SHARE:
The Mission of the Big Walnut Friends Who Share is to work to improve the living conditions of families and individuals in need/crisis who reside in the Big Walnut School District by securing donated items (including clothing, food, household furnishings, cash contributions, etc) and then distributing them free of charge to these persons.
